PeeGees Farmstay holiday house is an original 100 year old spacious federation home built by the legendary saw miller Percy Gordon Steinmetz affectionally known as PG.
PG built the sawmill at Waitui and the cottages in the Waitui village which were used to house the mill workers and are today fine examples of early Australian timber industry cottages.
The land at Hannam Vale was a wedding gift from PGs wife's family when they married, Maud's family having originally dairied on the Como property. PG as Percy was commonly known became great uncle to the present owners of the Waterford Como Dairy.
